Location and Venue
Situated against the backdrop of the Andes, Santiago stands as the pragmatic heart of Chile. A city where the echoes of history coexist with the pulse of progress, Santiago welcomes you to an experience of culture, collaboration, and exploration. Santiago has a modern transport, with one of best biggest subways in Latin America, which is well complemented with taxis and Uber. You can visit vineyards, travel to Valparaiso (by the Pacific Ocean) or visit the Andes Mountains in less than two hours. Santiago is a cosmopolitan capital with museums, theatres, art galleries, fine dining, nightlife, bustling markets, grand architecture and more.
Visas
With some exceptions, Latin American, North American and European citizens do not require a visa to enter. In the following link you will find information about those citizens who need a visa to visit Chile: Visa_requirement.pdf
**Countries that require prior authorization or visa to enter Chile are marked with a “SI” in the column REQ. VISTUR.**
Arrival
If you arrive via Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL), the journey to city centre is roughly 30 min and it should cost around €30 EUR ($30000 CLP). We recommend the use of the official taxi services that are available at the airport counters.
You can also opt for a public transport (bus number "555" and subway, each one costs about €1 EUR, to be paid in Chilean pesos). The airport provides several currency exchange services. Information about available bus lines can be obtained at the airport’s information desk, or you can check the Red website for more details.
Venue
The venue for the conference will be MR. Hotel, a four-stars hotel, situated in a great location in Santiago, with excellent connectivity and good restaurants and bars nearby.
The hotel offers a discount to attendants of the conference. Please Please contact Enrique Carrasco at ventas3@mrhoteles.cl
